DAN MILLS (b. Waterloo, New York, 1956)

Received a B.F.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1978 and an M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University
in 1981. Nationally recognized as an artist and curator, Mills was an active member of the Chicago art community
from 1981–1994. Solo exhibits include Detector, at the NIU Art Museum Gallery in Chicago, and Revisions
at 76 Varick Gallery, New York. He has been curated into group shows in Greece, The Netherlands,
and throughout the US, including Chicago Cultural Center, Minneapolis College of Art & Design, and
Everson Museum of Art. Collections include John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, and University
of Tennessee. Mills is director of Samek Art Gallery at Bucknell University.
