Received a B.F.A. in 1979 from Antioch College, and an M.F.A. from Syracuse University in 1996.
Among Leary's grants and awards are a National Endowment for the Arts Visual Artists' Fellowship, a Foundation Grant from The Glens Falls Foundation and a New York Foundation for the Arts Artists' Fellowship Grant. Leary's work is part of the permanent collections of many museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Public Library, Walker Art Center, Milwaukee Art Museum, Library of Congress and The Bibliothèque nationale du Québec. |
