VERA KLEMENT (b. Danzig [now Gdansk], Poland, 1929)

Educated at Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture, New York. Among Klement's grants and awards
are a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, Illinois Arts Council Project Completion Grants, National Endowment
of the Arts Fellowship, John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship, Louis Comfort Tiffany Award,
and an Emily Lowe Award. Klement's work is included in the permanent collections of many museums including
the Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), The David and Alfred Smart Museum
of Art – University of Chicago, Museum of Modern Art (New York), National Museum of American Art (Washington, DC),
The Jewish Museum (New York), and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
