One of Scotland's leading artists. Received M.A. with Honors in Fine Art from the Edinburgh College of Art.
Received a Helen Rose Travelling Scholarship award for study in Italy. Other awards include a Guthrie Award from the Royal Scottish Academy, two Scottish Arts Council Awards, William Gillies Bequest Scholarship and a British Council Award. Howard was elected an associate of the Royal Scottish Academy in 1983 and has played a very active role on committees of the Academy since that time. Howard's work is shown widely in Euope and America. |
