Established in Chicago in 1980, Printworks Gallery specializes in works on paper including prints,
original drawings, photography and artists’ books. Printworks Gallery represents a large number
of established artists who are widely recognized. Printworks Gallery has made a commitment
to promote the work of important emerging artists.

Prints and drawings from Printworks Gallery have been placed in the permanent collections
of major institutions around the world including the Tate Gallery in London, the Art Institute of Chicago,
the Hirshhorn Museum and National Museum of American Art in Washington DC, Boston Museum
of Fine Arts, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Australian National Gallery.

Directors Sidney Block and Bob Hiebert welcome you to Printworks and encourage you
to browse the website and visit the gallery in person.

By CTA Elevated Train (Brown and Purple Lines)
CTA's connection at Superior and Franklin at the Chicago stop make it more convenient than
ever to visit the gallery. The easiest way is to exit the Chicago stop on the southern end of the
platform (above Superior and Franklin) and walk west to Printworks Gallery at 311 W. Superior.

By CTA Bus
If you are coming from Michigan Avenue, take the #66 westbound. Exit the bus at Chicago and
Franklin, walk south on Franklin to Superior and then west half a block to Printworks Gallery
at 311 W. Superior.

By Car
There is limited metered parking on Superior Street in front of Printworks Gallery and in the
River North neighborhood. There are surface lots scattered throughout the area.
